Mastectomy

Mastectomy

In the case of diagnosing a breast cancer or having tested positive for a deleterious mutation on the BRCA1 or BRCA2 gene and being at high risk for the development of breast cancer, a lot of patients decide for undergoing mastectomy. Depending on the development of cancer and doctor’s recommendations, this surgical procedure may be breast-sparing, total or subcutaneous. In subcutaneous mastectomy, breast tissue is removed, but the nipple is preserved and a breast can be succesfully reconstructed. The surgery is performed under general anaesthesia.

Regardless of a situation, each and every Patient is provided with professional care and support from our highly qualified team. You can obtain all the necessary details and guidance during individual consultations with our specialists.

Timeless clinic offers also breast reconstructive surgeries. The reconstruction can be performed during a mastectomy surgery or, in the case of patients who are treated in other clinics, later.
